Michon Walker specializes in bankruptcy and has filed hundreds of bankruptcy cases, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 voluntary petitions, for clients experiencing dire financial problems. She also assists clients in seeking Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability (SSDI) from the Social Security Administration. She has drafted numerous Last Will and Testaments, Power of Attorneys, and Georgia Advanced Directive for Healthcare. Michon is a member of the Bankruptcy Lawyers Advisory Committee for the Southern District of Georgia (BLAC).
Active in the community, Michon serves as a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel and accepts appointments from the United States District Court to represent indigent defendants charged with federal misdemeanors and felonies. She is an active member of the Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is a member of the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church and volunteers on the Connection Team.
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Sandersville, Georgia, Michon returned to Georgia after graduating from Howard University and matriculating at Tuskegee University to attend Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. While attending law school Michon was a member and coach for the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Team and a member of the Client Counseling team. Michon is a member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) Alumni Council.
